RESUMO

Objective@#To investigate the biological characteristics of high hyperdiploid and triploid/tetraploid acute myeloid leukemia (HH/TT-AML) and its relationship with prognosis. @*Methods@#The clinical data of 28 patients with newly diagnosed HH/TT-AML during March 2006 and June 2017 were retrospectively analyzed, and the factors influencing prognosis were analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method. @*Results@#The karyotypes of HH/TT-AML patients were mainly 49 chromosomes, accounting for 39.3% (11/28), followed by 50-55 chromosomes, accounting for 32.1% (9/28). The karyotypes of high hyperdiploid acute myeloid leukemia (HH-AML) patients were more likely to be +8 (77.3%, 17/22) or +21 (54.5%, 12/22). The survival analysis showed that the overall survival rate of HH/TT-AML patients with -5/5q-, -7/7q-, -17/der(17p) or der(3q) was significantly lower than that without these abnormalities (4.1 months vs 10.1 months,P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the overall survival rate between triploid/tetraploid acute myeloid leukemia (TT-AML) patients and HH-AML patients (8.4 months vs 7.2 months,P>0.05). The overall survival rate of the patients with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation was significantly longer than that with chemotherapy alone (25.4 months vs 4.1 months,P<0.01). @*Conclusion@#HH/TT AML patients are highly heterogeneous. The identification of poor prognosis-related chromosome abnormalities is helpful for the stratification of prognosis. The overall survival time of these patients is short. Early allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation after remission by combination chemotherapy can significantly improve the prognosis of these patients.

RESUMO

To evaluate the genetic background of triploid female and diploid male strains of Siraitia grosvenorii and provide the biological reference for good varieties breeding of seedless S. grosvenorii. Inter simple sequence repeats (ISSR) marker was developed to analyze the genetic background among 28 samples of S. grosvenorii, and cluster analysis and double principal coordinate analysis were revealed by the NTSYS-pc software and GenAIEx software, respectively. Out of 100 ISSR primers selected, 13 primers were used for amplification and a total of 131 unambiguous bands were obtained, among which 99 (PPB = 75.57%) were polymorphic. The results of cluster analysis and double principal coordinate analysis showed that there was a certain rich of genetic background in triploid female and diploid male strains of S. grosvenorii. But the genetic similarity coefficients of majority were bigger and the genetic distance was closer. The complexity of the genetic background in triploid female and diploid male strains of S. grosvenorii is lower and germplasm innovation strategies should be carried out to enrich the genetic background of the parents of seedless S. grosvenorii.

RESUMO

Objective: To breed Erigeron breviscapus triploid and evaluate the important biological properties of triploid Erigeron breviscapus. Methods: Tetraploid doubled by colchicine was hybridized with diploid cultivar to get the E. breviscapus triploid; The ploidy of E. breviscapus was identified by the chromosome number. The morphological charcteristics of E. breviscapus triploid in the field were observed and scutellarin was tested by HPLC. Results: Through hybirdization of diploid cultivar and tetraploid, E. breviscapus triploid (2n=3x=27) was obtained successfully. Compared with its parents, the plant height, leaf length and width, number of petals, stoma size of E. breviscapus diploids are larger than those of E. breviscapus diploids, but less than those of E. breviscapus tetraploids. However, leaf number and flower diameter of E. breviscapus triploids are better than those of the parents. The plant of E. breviscapus triploids grew vigorously, and the content of scutellarin (1.38%) is lower than that of E. breviscapus tetraploids (1.51%) and higher than that of E. breviscapus diploids (1.22%). However, the yield of E. breviscapus triploid is obvious higher than that of E. breviscapus diploid with 2.14 times and E. breviscapus tetraploid with 1.84 times. Conclusion: The content of scutellarin in E. breviscapus triploid bred by hybridizing E. breviscapus diploid and E. breviscapus tetraploid is lower than that of E. breviscapus tetraploid, while is much higher than that of E. breviscapus diploid. E. breviscapus triploid is an ideal and important one with the development and utilization value based on the characteristics mentioned above.

RESUMO

Although several cases of natural triploidy in fish have already been described, spontaneous polyploidy in species with differentiated sex chromosomes are rare. We report the occurrence of a triploid fish (3n = 81) Leporinus cf. elongatus, a species characterized by a highly differentiated ZZ/ZW sex chromosome system, from the São Francisco river. The occurrence of a ZZZ triploid adult indicates the viability of this chromosome constitution in this fish.

RESUMO

Hypomelanosis of Ito was first described by Ito in 1952 as incontinentia pigmenti achromians. The consistent feature of the disease is a characteristic cutaneous hypopigmentation following the lines of Blaschko, and associated extracutaneous manifestations include anomalies of the central nervous system, eye and musculoskeletal system. It is a sporadic condition and more than half of patients are found to have chromosomal abnormalities, such as mosaicism. It has been suggested that hypomelanosis of Ito is not a single condition, but rather a nonspecific manifestation of chromosomal mosaicism. We report a case of a 6 year-old girl with hypomelanosis of Ito with diploid/triploid mosaicism (46, XX/69, XXX). She did not show any other extracutaneous symptoms, except a mild developmental delay. Hypopigmented lesions showed a gradual improvement but new hyperpigmented, brownish macules developed within hypopigmented lesions without any treatment.

RESUMO

Objective The main economic qualities of natural triploid were evaluated and the result laid a foundation to culture new triploid variety of Dioscorea zingiberensis. Methods The ploidy level of series of D. zingiberensis from some areas of Yunnan Province were identified and the qualities of outputs per plantlet, propagation ratio, and diosgenin content etc. were measured. Results Five natural triploids were found and the qualities of the triploids all displayed diversity, output per plantlet 1 090.00—628.57 g,propagation ratio (ploidy) 72.43—29.43,dry substance ratio 36.95%—24.06%,and diosgenin content 4.40%—1.50%. The outputs of series 1 and series 3 exceed 1 000 g,the diosgenin content of series 2 reached to 4.40%,and series 3 displayed excellent quality of outputs per plantlet, propagation ratio, and diosgenin content. The synthetical index is maximum. Conclusion The series comprising good quality are obtained by the discovery of triploid and evaluation of qualities. The triploid variety is to be created with judgment and selection of progeny.

RESUMO

The diploid type of Paragonimus westermani in Heilongjiang Province and triploid type of P.westermani in Liaoning Province were examined for amino acids by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Eleven kinds of amino-acids of diploid type and 15 kinds of triploid type were found in metacercaria; 15 kinds amino acids of diploid type and 16 kinds of triploid type were detected in larvae. The amino acids were more abundant in larvae than in metacercaria and more in the triploid than in the diploid type. The predominant amino acids were cystine and Rlutamic acid.
