Gênero e tendências contemporâneas: uma análise do Seminário Internacional "Desfazendo Gênero" / Gender and contemporary trends: an analysis of the international seminar "Undoing gender"

Este trabalho objetiva analisar como vem se dando, contemporaneamente, a discussão sobre a categoria gênero. Para tanto, buscou-se fazer uma análise das produções publicadas nos anais do Seminário Internacional Desfazendo Gênero, realizado em 2013 em Natal (RN). Esse evento objetivou discutir a categoria gênero e, como próprio nome sugere, "desconstruir/desfazer o gênero". Ou seja, percebe-se a influência da Teoria Queer na concepção do encontro a partir do próprio título. O critério estabelecido para a escolha da amostra foi priorizar comunicações orais em que contivesse a palavra "gênero" em seu título, tendo em vista que é o foco da nossa discussão. Foram analisados 51 trabalhos e verificou-se a predominância de análises ligadas à Teoria Queer. Nesses estudos, baseados em perspectivas subjetivistas, há, a nosso ver, uma valorização excessiva do discurso, incentivando o individualismo e a superficialidade, favorecendo, portanto, a ordem do capital.

This study aims to examine how the discussion about gender category has been going on currently. For that, we seek to analyze the published productions in the annals of the International Seminar "Undoing Gender", held in 2013, in Natal (RN), because it is an event which discusses the gender category and as the event's name suggests, the proposal is "deconstruct / undo the genre", that is, we see the influence of queer theory since event the title. The criterion for choosing sample was oral communications that contained the word gender in its title, considering that this is the focus of our discussion. It analyzed 51 works and it found the prevalence of analyzes related to queer theory. In these studies, that are based on subjectivist perspectives, there is, in our view, an excessive appreciation of speech, encouraging individualism and superficiality, favoring therefore the order of the capital.

Visões do barroco / Visions of Baroque

O período do Barroco é examinado do ponto de vista da psicologia analítica. É considerado uma forma de consciência de características próprias - relacionadas a conflito, angústia e transformação - , que podem ser percebidas nas expressões artísticas do período. Discutem-se alguns aspectos da psicologia do homem barroco, considerando os mecanismos de anulação, isolamento e formação reativa. Conclui-se pela grande importância daquele período na estruturação da consciência coletiva do homem ocidental.

Baroque period is examined from the point of view os analytical psychology. It is considered a form of consciousness with particular features related to conflict, anguish and transformation, which can be seen in the artistic expressions of the period. Some aspects of the psychology of baroque man are discussed, considering the defense mechanisms of annulation, isolation and reaction formation. It concludes for the importance of this period in the structuring of the collective consciousness of Western man.

Defense Style and Insomnia / 수면정신생리

INTRODUCTION: The objective of the present study was to investigate the defense style of insomnia patients and to grasp the differences in defense style between primary insomnia patients and insomnia patients with history of major depressive disorder. METHODS: Forty three subjects with insomnia (11 subjects with primary insomnia and 32 subjects with major depressive disorder) and 138 control subjects participated in this study. To diagnose insomnia and major depressive disorder, interviews including structured clinical interview for DSM-IV (SCID-IV) were done. To assess the defense style, self-reported Korean version of Defense Style Questionnaire (K-DSQ) were completed by the participants. RESULTS: Compared to normal controls, subjects with insomnia used more acting out (t=3.25, p<0.01), consumption (t=2.66, p<0.01), fantasy (t=3.51, p<0.001), resignation (t=5.42, p<0.001), suppression (t=3.28, p<0.01), projection (t=3.92, p< 0.01), splitting (t=4.31, p<0.01), undoing (t=2.66, p<0.01), withdrawal (t=6.72, p<0.001) and isolation (t=3.80, p<0.001), and less omnipotence (t=4.08, p<0.001) and humor (t=3.20, p<0.01). Compared to normal controls, subjects with primary insomnia used more undoing and withdrawal. Compared to subjects with primary insomnia, subjects with insomnia with history of major depressive disorder used more resignation and withdrawal, and less humor. CONCLUSION: In the current study, there were differences in defenses between primary insomnia patients and insomnia patients with major depressive disorder history. To evaluate the pattern of defenses through the K-DSQ might provide important clues to differentiate these two conditions.
