B-glucuronidase enzyme activity was studied in 58 individuals divided according to the clinical findings and laboratory diagnosis into four groups: 1- control group, 2- patients with uncomplicated S.mansoni infection, 3- patients with hepatosplenic schistosomiasis and 4- patients with combined schistosomiasis and fascioliasis. The enzyme activity was found elevated in all groups as compared to controls. A statistically significant difference was as well observed between groups 3 and 4 when compared to group 2. The enzyme activity was similar in groups 3 and 4. The rise in enzyme activity in the different groups was explained in the light of the pathology induced by either S.mansoni or Fasciola. The possibility of cancer induction by mixed Schistosoma and Fasciola infections was raised
