RESUMO
To determine the prevalence of gallstones in a pregnant Saudi population. Al Kharj Military Industries Corporation Hospital, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Pregnant Saudi patients attending the antenatal clinic. Cross-sectional study. Cholecystosonography was performed on pregnant patients at the time of the routine obstetric ultrasound scan examination. Gallstones were detected in 69/1604 patients [4.4%]. The mean age and the mean weight of gallstones patients are significantly higher than those with no gallstones [p < 0.005, p < 0.005]. There was no significant relation between gallstones detection and parity
