RESUMEN
OBJETIVO:
Describir las características de la calidad de atención al niño/a de 2 meses a 4 años de edad basado en la atención integrada a las enfermedades prevalentes de la infancia (AEPI).MÉTODOS:
Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal; observacional de manejo de casos a 211 niños/as de 2 meses a 4 años de edad que acudieron a la consulta. Los resultados se analizaron con el método estadístico descriptivo de porcentajes, frecuencias y razones, mediante el programa SPSS versión 18 y Excel 2010.RESULTADOS:
El índice de evaluación fue de 0,84 en el personal Médico siendo el valor 1 el óptimo y 0,49 en Enfermería pese a ello es el mayor prestador de salud por cumplir tareas múltiples. Lo que caracteriza al servicio es el buen trato.CONCLUSIONES:
El estudio permitió describir que la calidad de atención con la aplicación de AIEPI fue regular porque no se cumple en forma integral por falta de capacitación/actualización, supervisión y falta de recursos materiales/humanos, la petición del personal y usuarios es que ésta se cumpla.ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:
To describe the characteristics of quality child care in children from 2 months to 4 years old based on the integrated mana-gement of childhood diseases prevalent at-tention.METHODS:
A descriptive cross-sectional study; obser-vational case management of 211 children from 2 months to 4 years old, who atten-ded to the medical consultation. The results were analyzed using the descriptive statis-tical percentages method, frequency and reasons, using the SPSS version 18 and Excel 2010.RESULTS:
The evaluation index was 0.84 at the Me-dical staff being the optimum value 1 and 0.49 in Nursing; nevertheless, it is the largest health care provider to fulfill multiple tasks. The service is characterized by the good treatment.CONCLUSIONS:
The study allowed describing the quality of care with the implementation of the inte-grated management of childhood diseases prevalent attention. It was regular because it is not fulfilled in an integral form by a lack of training, updating, monitoring and lack of material and human resources, the request of the staff and users is that it is fulfilled.
