RESUMEN

"Ya no creo en mi neurótica", es la sentencia que emite Freud en el momento en el que es consciente de que la ciencia positiva no es el instrumento idóneo para analizar la psique humana, y cuando dice "ya no creo en mi neurótica", no se refiere únicamente a una de sus pacientes histéricas, él se refiere primordialmente a su teoría fisiológica sobre la neurosis. Freud se encuentra entonces con un obstáculo epistemológico, y es que un síntoma no aparece necesariamente a partir de un trauma, sino que halla también como motivante del síntoma a la fantasía, Freud descubre que la histérica por ejemplo puede desencadenar toda una gama de representaciones sintomáticas, toda una patología a partir de una simple fantasía inconsciente infantil.

"I no longer believe in my neurotic," is Freud's sentence when he is aware that positive science is not the ideal instrument to analyze the human psyche, and when he says "I no longer believe in my neurotic ", he does not only refer to one of his hysterical patients, he refers primarily to his physiological theory of neurosis.
