Amamentar e alimentar na perspectiva de puérperas assistidas em uma maternidade de referência de um município do norte ï¬uminense

RESUMO
Objetivos: Identificar os conhecimentos de puérperas sobre alimentação no primeiro ano de vida assistidas em uma maternidade de referência no município de Macaé, Rio de Janeiro. Métodos: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, quantitativo, prospectivo, de base primária, no período entre janeiro e agosto de 2017, com puérperas entre 20 e 40 anos de idade, residentes do município de Macaé. Para as entrevistas, utilizou-se um questionário estruturado, adaptado do "Pré-Teste" do Caderno do Tutor, da Estratégia Nacional para Promoção de Alimentação Complementar Saudável. Resultados: Participaram do estudo 89 puérperas, apresentando média ± DP de idade de 26±5 anos. Em relação aleitamento materno exclusivo, 55,1% das puérperas deram respostas corretas; já o aleitamento materno misto, detectou-se que 61,8% das respostas estavam incorretas. Quanto ao período de início da oferta de novos alimentos, 51,7% responderam corretamente. Aproximadamente 2/3 das puérperas responderam corretamente, quando questionadas sobre "peneirar e liquidificar os alimentos na forma de papa doce ou salgada", sendo esse dado estatisticamente significativo (p valor < 0, 001). Conclusões: Mais da metade das puérperas apresentou conhecimentos adequados sobre a alimentação no primeiro ano de vida.
ABSTRACT
Objectives: To identify the knowledge of postpartum women about feeding their children in the first year of life assisted in a reference maternity in the city of Macaé, Rio de Janeiro. Methods: It was realized a descriptive, quantitative, prospective and primary base study from January to August of 2017 with in postpartum women the range between 20 and 40 years old, residents of Macaé City. For the interviews, it was adapted and used the "Pre-Test", structured questionnaire from the Tutor Notebook of National Strategy for Promotion of Healthy Complementary Feeding. Results: In the research, participated 89 postpartum women, presenting mean ± SD age of 26±5 years old. Related to exclusive breast - feeding, 55,1% of postpartum women answered the questions correctly; about mixed breast - feeding, it has been detected that 61,8% responded incorrectly and about the beginning period of food supply, 51,7% responded correctly the questions. Approximately 2/3 postpartum women answered correctly when questioned about "siting and liquefying the food in the shape of sweet or salt pap", being this data statistically significant (p value < 0,001). Conclusions: More than half of postpartum women presented suitable knowledge about feeding in the first year of life.
