Principales debates en torno a la teoría de las representaciones sociales / Main debates around the theory of social representations

RESUMEN

Aunque es claro que existe un consenso sobre las principales categorías de la teoría de las representaciones sociales (RS), (Moscovici, 1961; Jodelet, 2000), allí se encuentra latente un conjunto amplio de discusiones que pasan inadvertidas aún entre investigadores que le usan. En el presente artículo se proponen tres debates que le subyacen; la relación entre la RS y le ideología, su naturaleza epistemológica y el papel de la subjetividad dentro de su constitución. Se pretende crear un espacio en donde se enriquezca esta teoría y no simplemente se reduzca a su aplicación instrumentalizada.

ABSTRACT

Although it is clear that there is a consensus on the main categories of the theory of social representations (RS), (Moscovici, 1961; Jodelet, 2000), there is latent a broad set of discussions that go unnoticed even among researchers who use it . In this article three underlying debates are proposed; the relationship between SR and ideology, its epistemological nature and the role of subjectivity within its constitution. It is intended to create a space where this theory is enriched and not simply reduced to its instrumentalized application.
