RESUMEN

Saussure (1945) establece una distinción fundamental entre dos aspectos del lenguaje el conjunto de códigos que configuran la estructura de la lengua ( Langue ) y el habla en tanto mensaje particular emitido por un sujeto ( Parole ). El mensaje y el código no pertenecen al tiempo de la misma manera; puesto que el mensaje en tanto acontecimiento temporal, constituye un sistema fundamentalmente diacrónico, mientras que el código es en el tiempo, un conjunto de elementos contemporáneos, es decir, un sistema principalmente sincrónico. Otra distinción entre ambas dimensiones radica en su naturaleza; mientras que el mensaje es intencional, arbitrario y contingente, el código es anónimo, no intencionado e inconsciente; y no deja al sujeto otra salida que someterse a él, puesto que se constituye en la entidad obligatoria para una comunidad de hablantes.

ABSTRACT

Saussure (1945) establishes a fundamental distinction between two aspects of language the set of codes that configure the structure of language (Langue) and speech as a particular message issued by a subject (Parole). The message and code do not belong to time in the same way; since the message as a temporary event, constitutes a fundamentally diachronic system, while the code is in time, a set of contemporary elements, that is, a mainly synchronous system. Another distinction between both dimensions lies in their nature; While the message is intentional, arbitrary and contingent, the code is anonymous, unintended and unconscious; and it leaves the subject no other way out than to submit to it, since it constitutes the obligatory entity for a community of speakers.
