Caracterização das atividades emergentes do enfermeiro na área hospitalar: o cuidar continua / Characterization of nurses' emerging activities in the hospital area: care continues

RESUMO

Com o objetivo de verificar quantos enfermeiros atuam em áreas não tradicionais na cidade de São Paulo, quais são estas áreas, qual a demanda que deu origem à atuação desses profissionais, o preparo recebido por eles para essa atuação e o nível de satisfação expresso verbalmente pelos mesmos, foi desenvolvida esta pesquisa entrevistando-se 89 enfermeiros que atuam em áreas não tradicionais nos hospitais da cidade de Sào Paulo, segundo o critério das próprias instituições hospitalares. O presente trabalho é um estudo exploratório descritivo. Os enfermeiros foram entrevistados pela pesquisadora após terem sido indicados pelas instituições hospitalares contadas por meio de cartas. A análise dos dados foi realizada de maneira quantitativa, com números absolutos e percentagens. a questão do porquê da satisfação ou não dos enfermeiros nessas áreas, foi categorizada por intermédio da proposta de análise de conteúdo de BARDINI (1977). concluiu-se que, em relação à especificação das áreas emergentes dos 89 enfermeiros entrevistados, 26 (29,21%) estão atuando em áreas relacionadas a novas tecnologias e equipamentos. O motivo gerador para o ingresso nessas áreas foi referido por 70 (78,65%) enfermeiros como sendo o próprio hospital. em relação ao preparo recebido por esses profissionais para atuar na área emergente, 46 (51,7%) referiram ter tido algum preparo e 84 (84%) enfermeiros afirmaram estar satisfeitos nessa nova área, sendo que 43 (63,2%) deles.

ABSTRACT

With the objective of knowing how many nurses work in non traditional areas in the city of São Paulo, which are these areas, which was the demand that originated the professional actions of this professionals, the preparation they had to work in these areas and the level of satisfaction they expressed, this research was built by interviewing 89 nurses that work in non traditional areas at hospitals in the city of Sào Paulo, according to the criteria of the hospitals, This research is a descriptive exploratory study. The analisys of data was done in a quantitative way, with absolute numbers and percentages. The question about the nurses satisfaction in working at these areas was classificated through the proposal of contents analysis of BARDIN (1977). the conclusion is that, in relation to the specification of the emerging areas of 89 nurses that were interviewed, 26 (29,21%) are working in areas related to new technology and equipments. the reason of getting into these areas to work was refered by 70 (78,65%) nurses as being the hospital. In spite of the preparation that the professional had to work at those areas, 46 (51,7%) refered that they had some kind of preparation and 84 (84%) nurses said that they were satisfied working at these areas. Forty three (63,2%) of the amount said that it was because of personal reasons (personal interests). In despite of differents areas, nurses demonstrated that all these new activities that were developed by them stillhave one final objective: the care of the patient - direct or indirectly.
