A bioenergia como caminho: do processo saúde-doença ao processo saúde-enfermidade / Bioenergy as a path: from the health-disease process to the health-illness process

RESUMO

O interesse por práticas alternativas de saúde sempre permeou a trajetória pessoal e profissional da autora. Desde que passou a exercer a enfermagem como docente no campo da assistência primária de saúde, procurou desenvolver estratégias para sistematizar o ensino e o emprego destas práticas, em parceria com enfermeiras, alunos, comunidades e outros profissionais de saúde. A partir da vivência de um fato na sua vida pessoal em que esteve envolvida como uma situação de cuidar, recorreu à Medicina Agradável e à Bioenergia, não como alternativa de cura e sim para apoiar um momento de transição para a morte. O estranhamento diante de algumas das práticas da Medicina Agradável e da Bioenergia, do referencial e das atitudes dos profissionais que a empregavam, levou-a a estabelecer questões para nortear estudos sobre os valores e as crenças destes profissionais, sua identidade cultural e o significado que atribuíam a estas práticas. Tendo como referencial teórico-metodológico a Teoria da diversidade e Universalidade do Cuidado cultural de LENNINGER, realizou um estudo de caso etnográfico, coletando dados por meio de observação participante e entrevistas. O processo criativo de análise, iniciado a partir da construção de narrativas, culminou com a identificação de passos percorridos pelo grupo, que revelaram a visão de mundo do mesmo, a necessidade de promover mudanças em conceitos, valores e atitudes frente ao cliente e à profissão, paraempregar a Medicina Agradável e a Bioenergia. A educação para a saúde e o resgate do saber das pessoas enquanto sujeitos de sua própria saúde foram identificados como algumas das marcas da caminhada do grupo, além da diferença entre enfermidade e doença, considerada esta última, pela autora, como caminho em direção ao que denomina "processo saúde-enfermidade"

ABSTRACT

The author has always been interested, both as a person and a professional, in alternative health practice. Since she began to teach nursing in primary health care, she has sought to develop strategies to systematically organize the teaching and use of these practices, in partnership with nurses, students, communities and other health professionals. As the result of a personal experience of health care, she resorted to Agreable Medicine and Bioenergy, not as an alternative to healing, but as support at a moment of trensition to death. Surprise at some of the practice of Agreable Medicine and Bioenergy, the theory and the attitude of the professionals who used it, led her to raise questions to guide the study on the values and beliefs of these professionals, their cultural identity and the meaning thy give to thos practice. With the theory and methodology of LEININGER's Theory of Diversity and Universality of Cultural Care, she carried out an ethnographic case study, collecting date through participating observation and inteviews. The creative process of analysis, created from the construction of narratives, culminated in the identification of the steps covered by the group, which revealed their world view, the need to bring about a change of concepts, values and attitudes toward patients and profession in the use of the Agreable Medicine and Bioenergy. Education for health and recovering knowledge for people about their own health were identified as some of thelandmarks of the work of the group, as well as the difference between infirmity and disease, the latter considered by the author as the route toward what she call the "health-infirmity process"
