O processo de transição do ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica sob a ótica da enfermagem / The transition process of hospitalized adolescents with chronic illness from the perspective of nursing

RESUMO

Este estudo tem como objeto a transição de saúde-doença do ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica. Surgiu das inquietações da experiência profissional como enfermeira na área. Objetivou compreender as significações expressas pelo ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica ao vivenciar o processo de transição saúde-doença ao mesmo tempo em que é cuidado; traçar um modelo conceitual de cuidado transicional de enfermagem ao ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica diante da transição de saúde-doença vivenciada. Adotou-se como referencial teórico a teoria de enfermagem de Roy. A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa através do método de pesquisa-cuidado. O procedimento utilizado para a coleta das informações foi de entrevista semi-estruturada gravada e o referencial adotado para a análise dos depoimentos foi o fenomenológico percorrendo as etapas propostas por Giorgi (2004). Os sujeitos do estudo foram dezesseis adolescentes hospitalizados com doença crônica em um hospital infantil de grande porte de Curitiba. Foi possível apreender pelas unidades de significado três categorias das descrições A autopercepção diante da vulnerabilidade e construção da fase adolescente; a integridade afetiva e relações significativas que envolvem o ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica; a adaptação à transição de saúde-doença como mobilizadora da integridade social. Os resultados indicam que para o adolescente, a hospitalização acresce a necessidade de adaptar-se ao processo de transição de saúde-doença, evento que pelo significado pode trazer-lhe angústias e conseqüentes comportamentos inefetivos. A vivência do ser adolescente hospitalizado com doença crônica a partir de sua visão de mundo desvela a compreensão de que o cuidado de enfermagem deve ser expressivo, sensível e aproximado da singularidade desta vivência. Assim, o agir profissional torna-se presente diante destes significados distintos, valorizando a essência indivisível do ser adolescente com doença crônica, favorecendo desta forma suas possibilidades adaptativas.

ABSTRACT

This study has as object the transition of health-illness of the hospitalized adolescent being with chronic illness. It appeared of the fidgets of the professional experience as nurse in the area. It objectified to understand the significances expressed by the adolescent being hospitalized with chronic illness when living deeply the transition process health-illness at the same time where he is well-taken care of; to ahead trace a conceptual model of transitional care of nursing to the hospitalized adolescent being with chronic illness of the transition of lived deeply health -illness. The theory of nursing of Roy was adopted as theoretical referential. The methodology used was qualitative through the research-care method. The procedure used for the collection of the information was of half-structuralized interview recorded and the referential adopted for the analysis of the depositions was the phenomenological covering the stages proposed by Giorgi (2004). The subjects of the study were sixteen adolescents hospitalized with chronic illness in an great capacity children hospital in Curitiba. It was possible to apprehend for the units of meaning three categ ories of the descriptions The self perception ahead of the vulnerability and construction of the adolescent phase; the affective integrity and significant relations that involve the hospitalized adolescent being with chronic illness; the adaptation to the transition of health-illness as the situations that mobilizes the social integrity. The results indicate that for the adolescent, hospitalization increases the necessity to adapt it the process of health-illness transition, event that for the meaning can bring anguish and consequent ineffective behaviors to it. The experience of the adolescent being hospitalized with chronic illness from its vision of world unveils the understanding of that the care of nursing must be expressive, sensible and approached of the singularity of this experience. Thus, professional acting becomes ahead present of these distinct meanings, valuing the indivisible essence of the adolescent being with chronic illness, favoring of this form its adaptable possibilities.
