Prevalencia de hepatitis del tipo a en menores de 10 años en el Municipio de San Lucas / Prevalence of hepatitis of type a in children under 10 years in the Municipality of San Lucas

RESUMEN

La hepatitis A constituye un serio problema de salud que merece atención médica. La Organización Mundial de la Salud estima un total anual de 1,4 millones de casos clínicos de hepatitis A en el mundo su transmisión es vía fecal-oral esta enfermedad está relacionada en forma directa con la falta de saneamiento ambiental y medios higiénicos. El objetivo de esta investigación fue determinar la prevalencia de hepatitis tipo "A" en menores de 10 años en el municipio de San Lucas durante el primer semestre, gestión 2018. Se trata de una investigación de tipo descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivos realizado con la población menores de 10 años que acudieron 250 niños a laboratorio del hospital durante la gestión 2018, de quienes se extrajo los datos de diagnóstico positivo de Hepatitis A. del total de niños de 250 que acudieron a laboratorio, se diagnosticó con hepatitis A en el 6%, siendo en su mayoría del sexo femenino (60%), entre la edad de 4 a 6 años (47%).

ABSTRACT

Hepatitis A is a serious health problem that deserves medical attention. The World Health Organization estimates an annual total of 1.4 million clinical cases of hepatitis A in the world, its transmission is fecal-oral, this disease is directly related to the lack of environmental sanitation and hygienic means. The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of type "A" hepatitis in children under 10 years of age in the municipality of San Lucas during the 2018 management. This is a descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective investigation conducted with the population under 10 years that 250 children went to the hospital laboratory during the 2018 management, from whom the positive diagnosis data of Hepatitis A. was extracted from the total of 250 children who went to the laboratory, was diagnosed with hepatitis A in 6%, being in mostly female (60%), between the ages of 4 to 6 years (47%).
