Cumplimiento de guía de medidas preventivas de úlceras por presión en el servicio de geriatría de un hospital del seguro social de Chiclayo / Compliance with the guide for the preventive measures of ulcers by pressure in the geriatric service of a social security hospital of Chiclayo

RESUMEN

Objetivo: Evaluar el cumplimiento de la Guía de prevención de UPP en pacientes hospitalizados en el Servicio de Geriatría del Hospital Nacional Almanzor Aguinaga en los meses Agosto-Octubre de 2015. Material y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo transversal, cuya unidad de análisis fueron los procedimientos preventivos realizados a un paciente por turno para evitar las UPP realizados por el Personal de enfermería que labore y/o realice horas extras, incluyendo al cuidador presente en el turno evaluado que aceptó participar. Se utilizó la Lista de chequeo para el cumplimiento de Medidas preventivas de UPP de la Guía clínica de Es salud. Se realizó un muestreo aleatorio simple para obtener la cantidad de turnos a evaluar por cada mes; dando como resultado 15 turnos de evaluación distribuidos en los meses de Agosto-Octubre, para obtener un tamaño muestral de 272 pacientes. Resultados: El cumplimiento de la Guía de Prevención de UPP en el Servicio de Geriatría el Hospital Nacional Almanzor Aguinaga fue 68,06%(Optimo 100%, Aceptable 90%, Crítico<90%); encontrándose un 68,98% de cumplimiento en el turno mañana, en la tarde 69,49% y la noche 65,60%.El cambio postural y el registro de cuidados aplicados se cumplieron en 3,31% y 0,37% respectivamente. Conclusiones: El cumplimiento de la Guía de prevención de UPP en el Servicio de Geriatría se encuentra en un nivel crítico, lo que indica la importancia de implementar y reforzar los procesos de promoción y prevención durante la hospitalización, incluyendo a todo el personal de salud en su ejecución.

ABSTRACT

Objetive Evaluate the compliance of the UPP Prevention Guide in patients hospitalized in the Geriatrics Service of the National Hospital Almanzor Aguinaga in the months August-October 2015. Material and Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study, whose unit of analysis were the preventive procedures performed on a patient in turn to avoid UPPs performed by the nursing staff that works and / or performs overtime, including the care giver present on the evaluated shif twho agreed to participate. The checklist for compliance with UPPpreventive measures of the health clinic guide was used. A simple random sampling was carried out to obtain the number of shifts to be evaluated for each month; resulting in 15 evaluation shifts distributed in the months of August-October, to obtain a sample size of 272 patients. Results: Compliance with the UPP Prevention Guide in theGeriatrics Service of the Almanzor Aguinaga National Hospital was 68.06% (Optimum 100%, Acceptable 90%, Critical <90%); finding a 68.98% compliance in the morning shift, 69.49% in the evening and 65.60% in the evening. The postural change and the record of applied care were fulfilled in 3.31% and 0.37% respectively. Conclusions: Compliance with the UPPPrevention Guide in the Geriatrics Service is at a critical level, which indicates the importance of implementing and strengthening the promotion and prevention processes during hospitalization, including all health personnel in the hospital its execution.
