Concepções e práticas de procuradores do trabalho sobre a relação entre saúde mental e trabalho / Concepts and practices of labor prosecutors on the relationship between mental health and work

RESUMO

Este artigo relata uma pesquisa que teve por objetivo analisar como procuradores do trabalho compreendem a relação entre o processo saúde-doença mental e o trabalho, bem como identificar suas práticas sobre tal tema. Foram realizadas entrevistas abertas em profundidade com quatro procuradores do Ministério Público do Trabalho (MPT). Os resultados indicam que os entrevistados apresentam uma análise conceitual muito crítica quanto à noção de precarização do trabalho e sua relação com os prejuízos à saúde mental. Todavia, apesar da familiaridade com as discussões teóricas, em suas práticas, tendem a restringir o foco de suas ações em saúde mental às situações de assédio moral, apoiados no argumento de que estas possibilitariam avaliações mais objetivas. Isso interfere no acolhimento do trabalhador e na possibilidade de propor ações preventivas focalizadas nas políticas de gestão empresarial que afetam a saúde mental dos trabalhadores. O MPT tem muito a contribuir com a luta pela garantia dos direitos à saúde mental do trabalhador, mas, para isso, é importante que se amplie sua atuação para além do assédio moral. Este artigo pretende oferecer uma discussão sobre esse tema, de modo a amparar as práticas desses atores sociais.

ABSTRACT

This article reports a research that aimed to analyze how labor prosecutors understand the relationship between mental health-illness process and work, as well as to identify their practices on this topic. Open interviews were conducted in-depth with four prosecutors of Minister of Labor (MPT). The results indicate that respondents have a very critical conceptual analysis about the notion of precariousness of work and its relations with the damages to mental health. However, despite their familiarity with the theoretical discussions, in their practices, they tend to restrict the focus of their actions in mental health to situations of moral harassment, supported by the argument that they would enable more objective assessments. This interferes in the reception of the worker and in the possibility of proposing preventive actions that focus in the policies of business management that affect the workers' mental health. MPT has much to contribute to the struggle for the guarantee of the right of worker's mental health but for that, it is important it to extend beyond the point of moral harassment. This article intends to offer a discussion on this theme, in order to contribute to the practices of these social actors.
