Envelhecimento, família e políticas públicas: em cena a organização social do cuidado / Aging, family and public policies: on the scene the social organization of care

RESUMO

Resumo O artigo tem por objetivo problematizar as análises do envelhecimento humano como um "dado" natural e apresentar a perspectiva metodológica de trato do fenômeno na perspectiva crítica, bem como de suas demandas por cuidados em uma sociedade que vive a crise do cuidado pelo aumento da demanda e pela reduzida oferta na família e nas políticas públicas, que se agravam com as reformas neoliberais. A relação família/Estado é debatida e são desvendadas as direções da centralidade da família na política social brasileira contemporânea.

ABSTRACT

Abstract The article aims to problematize the analysis of human aging as a natural "data" and to present a methodological perspective of treatment of the phenomenon in the critical perspective, as well as its demands for care in a society that lives the crisis of care by the increase of the demand and reduced supply in the family and public policies, which is aggravated by neoliberal reforms. The family/state relationship is debated and unveiled the directions of the centrality of the family in contemporary Brazilian social policy.
