ABSTRACT
Fungi were isolated from the surface of decaying citrus fruits and their pathogenicity was determined. A few rotten fruits presented coremia of Penicillium ulaiense Hsieh, Su & Tzean, a new postharvest pathogen in Latin America. Penicillium digitatum (89 strains). Penicillium italicum (28). P. ulaiense (12) and Geotrichum candidum (11) were isolated from 129 samples of citrus fruits.
