Relación Matrona-Usuaria en atención primaria de salud / Midwife-Pacient relationship in primary health care

RESUMEN

La interacción diaria entre las personas, conlleva al establecimiento de relaciones interpersonales diversas en su origen y que evolucionan constantemente. La relación matrona- usuaria no está exenta de esta evolución, constituyéndose en pilar fundamental a la hora de evaluar la calidad de atención en salud en esta área. OBJETIVO: evaluar la relación matrona- usuaria embarazada durante el control prenatal desde la perspectiva de la usuaria. METODOLOGÍA: estudio exploratorio, descriptivo, correlacional. Los datos se recolectan a través de una encuesta semi estructurada, administrada como entrevista, aplicada a 155 mujeres embarazadas en un Centro de Salud Familiar de la Región Metropolitana. El tipo de relación se categoriza como muy buena, buena, regular y mala. RESULTADOS: las usuarias califican la relación con la matrona como muy buena o buena. Influyen en la relación la ocupación, paridad, edad y escolaridad de la usuaria. Otros elementos específicos destacados en la construcción de la relación son sentir que son escuchadas con atención, que las miren a los ojos cuando se dirigen a ellas o el tipo de lenguaje que la matrona utiliza. DISCUSIÓN: escuchar a las usuarias con atención, lograr entablar un diálogo, ser capaz de utilizar un lenguaje accesible, hacer partícipe a la mujer de su condición, para satisfacer sus necesidades, son características esenciales de la relación matrona-usuaria.

ABSTRACT

The daily interaction between people implies the establishment of relationships diverse in its origin and which are constantly evolving. The midwife-user relationship is not exempt from this evolution, becoming a fundamental pillar in assessing the quality of health care in this area. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the midwife-pregnant user relationship during antenatal care from the perspective of the user. METHODOLOGY: Exploratory, descriptive, correlational study. Data were collected through a semistructured questionnaire, administered as an interview, applied to 155 pregnant women in a family health center of the Metropolitan Region. The type of relationship was categorized as very good, good, fair and poor. RESULTS: The users rated the relationship with the midwife as very good or good. Occupation, parity, age and education of the user influence the relationship. Other specific elements outstanding in the construction of the relationship are to feel they are listened with attention that they are looked at the eyes when talking to them or the type of language the caregiver uses. DISCUSSION: Essential features of the midwife-client relationship are listening to users with care, achieving a dialogue, be able to use accessible language to share with the women their status, to finally meet their needs.
