Manual educativo para mulheres com câncer de mama em tratamento quimioterápico / Educational manual for women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatment

RESUMO

Introdução: este estudo refere-se à construção de um manual educativo para mulheres diagnosticadas com câncer de mama que realizam tratamento quimioterápico. O material impresso é uma estratégia de ensino-aprendizagem que favorece uma melhor compreensão das mulheres sobre a doença e seu tratamento. Na busca por um conteúdo relevante e de fácil entendimento para esse público, surgiu a questão norteadora quais informações são necessárias para construção de um manual educativo para mulheres com câncer de mama em tratamento quimioterápico? Objetivo geral elaborar um manual educativo para mulheres com câncer de mama em tratamento quimioterápico; objetivos específicos identificar as características sociodemográficas e epidemiológicas das participantes do estudo, analisar as percepções das mulheres com câncer de mama em tratamento quimioterápico, e identificar as dúvidas e demandas das mulheres durante o tratamento quimioterápico. Trajetória metodológica trata-se de um estudo qualitativo ancorado no referencial metodológico da Pesquisa Convergente Assistencial (PCA). As participantes da pesquisa foram 16 mulheres diagnosticadas com câncer de mama em tratamento quimioterápico, atendidas no ambulatório de hematologia e oncologia de um hospital público de grande porte no sul do Brasil. A coleta de dados foi realizada mediante entrevistas semiestruturadas no período de janeiro a março de 2020. A construção do manual educativo se deu a partir da perspectiva das participantes em relação ao tratamento, com apontamentos do conteúdo para composição desse material. Na análise dos dados seguiu-se os passos do referencial teórico de John Creswell, para a fase de codificação utilizou-se de software gratuito de código de fonte aberta. Resultados: o software gerou como resultados nuvens de palavras e dendograma com seis classes de palavras conforme método da Classificação Hierárquica Descendente (CHD) Classe 1 Percepções relacionadas à descoberta do câncer de mama; Classes 2 e 3 Percepções do tratamento e autoimagem; Classes 4 e 5 Enfrentamento da doença e quimioterapia; Classe 6 - Autocuidado relacionado à diminuição dos efeitos colaterais. A unificação das classes 2 e 3 e das classes 4 e 5 se deu em virtude da proximidade dos discursos e repetições das palavras em comum, estando interligadas entre si no dendograma. A partir da análise dos dados, foi realizada a discussão das classes e o levantamento do conteúdo abordado no manual educativo com base científica. O manual é composto por conteúdo que aborda conceitos de câncer de mama e quimioterapia, protocolo quimioterápico, efeitos colaterais e orientações para o autocuidado. Considerações finais evidenciou-se a necessidade de expansão do conhecimento por intermédio de um material impresso que facilite a compreensão do diagnóstico e tratamento, sendo este um facilitador na prática de educação em saúde realizada pelos enfermeiros que atuam na oncologia. Dessa forma, foi construído o manual educativo, produto final deste trabalho, que se constitui como instrumento de consulta para as mulheres que se deparam em tratamento com quimioterapia.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: this study refers to the construction of an educational guideline for women diagnosed with breast cancer who undergo chemotherapy. The printed material is a teaching-learning strategy that favors a better understanding of women about the disease and its treatment. In the search for relevant and easy understanding content for this audience, the guiding question came up what information is necessary for the creation of an educational manual for women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy? General objective: to develop an educational guideline for women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatment; specific objectives: to identify the sociodemographic and epidemiological characteristics of the study participants, to analyze the perceptions of women with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy treatment, and to identify women's doubts and demands during chemotherapy treatment. Methodological path this is a qualitative study anchored in the methodological framework of Convergent Care Research (PCA). The research participants were 16 women diagnosed with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy, treated at the hematology and oncology outpatient clinic of a large public hospital in southern Brazil. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews from January to March 2020. The creation of the educational guideline took place from the perspective of the participants in relation to the treatment, with notes of the content for the composition of this material. In the analysis of the data, the steps of John Creswell's theoretical framework were followed. For the coding phase, free open source software was used. Results: the software generated clouds of words with six word classes as results according to the Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD) method: Class 1 Perceptions related to the discovery of breast cancer; Classes 2 and 3 Perceptions of treatment and self-image; Classes 4 and 5 Coping with the disease and chemotherapy; Class 6 - Self-care related to the reduction of side effects. The unification of classes 2 and 3 and classes 4 and 5 was due to the similarity of the speeches and the words in common, being interconnected among themselves in the dendogram. From the analysis of the data, the discussion of the classes and the survey of the content covered in the educational guideline with scientific basis was carried out. The guideline consists of content that addresses concepts of breast cancer and chemotherapy, chemotherapy protocol, side effects and guidelines for self-care. Final considerations the need to expand knowledge through a printed material that facilitates the understanding of diagnosis and treatment was evidenced, making it easy to practice health education which is carried out by nurses working in oncology. This way, the educational guideline was created, the final product of this work, which constitutes an instrument of consultation for women who face treatment with chemotherapy.
