ABSTRACT
Currently, pharmacological interventions constitute one of the fundamental pillars in the treatment of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), however, until January 21, 2021 the World Health Organization (WHO) reported 95 612 831 cases of COVID-19 globally, of which 610,403 were new cases and 2,066,176 deaths. This reflects that the drugs available to reduce morbidity and mortality from COVID-19 are not effective and a specific pharmacological approach needs to be established to treat it
