O emprego de diferentes formatos de mentoplastia tem por objetivo agregar um melhor contorno, preenchimento e simetria a região anterior da mandibula e adjacente ao mento, além de permitir alinhamento da sinfise nas três dimensões. The treatment of facial deformities is also associated with correction of the chin position.
