ABSTRACT
The repercussions of SARS-CoV-2 infection - severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 in pregnant women and newborns are still not well known and the physiological changes and cell-mediated immunity increase susceptibility to infection. A case of a 27-year-old patient, with a gestational age of 31 weeks, who had irritation in the throat and indirect contact with a positive individual for Covid-19 is reported. She denied odynophagia, fever, malaise and other symptoms. Oroscopy without abnormalities. After five days, she developed a dry cough and ageusia, with no change in pulmonary auscultation and a positive Covid-19 test. Hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and paracetamol were prescribed. She evolved well and the pregnancy remained healthy. Cesarean delivery took place at 38 weeks and 4 days of gestation, with no complications, with the newborn having good vitality and adequate weight.
