Estrategias de afrontamiento y adaptación que utilizan los adolescentes frente a una enfermedad cardiovascular: revisión integrativa / Coping and adaptation strategies used by adolescents in the face of cardiovascular disease: integrative review

RESUMEN

El propósito del presente trabajo de investigación es describir las estrategias de afrontamiento y adaptación que utilizan los adolescentes frente a una enfermedad cardiovascular (ECV), a través de una revisión integrativa de la literatura, manteniendo los parámetros de Whittemore y Knafl (2005), con un alcance descriptivo y retrospectivo de diez años. De acuerdo con la estrategia de búsqueda aplicada a las bases de datos EBSCO/HOST, SCOPUS, Scielo, Ovid Nurse y Pubmed, se identificaron 12506 referencias bibliográficas (689 en EBSCO-HOST, 3 en Scielo, 287 en Scopus y 10565 en Ovid Nurse) tras la aplicación de los criterios de inclusión y exclusión fueron seleccionadas 52 piezas de tipo cuasiexperimental, cualitativa, cuantitativo, revisiones y opinión de expertos. Las investigaciones fueron caracterizadas según disciplina, nivel de formación del autor principal, publicaciones por país, por idioma, por tendencia de año de publicación, por base de datos/buscador, nivel de evidencia y diseño metodológico. Para la tematización de la información se empleó la técnica análisis de contenido que permitió abstraer, simplificar y compilar la información de las 52 piezas en una matriz de análisis de la que se generaron unidades de análisis, subcategorías y categorías que fueron expuestas a través de redes de sentido. Las estrategias identificadas comprenden cinco categorías prácticas ordinarias y prácticas de soporte como actividades e intervenciones; habilidades mental-afectivas que son innatas y adquiridas; habilidades ineficaces que representan un papel negativo en la conducta y desenlace de la adaptación y las sensaciones reveladas que constituyen todos los sentimientos negativos de interiorización y exteriorización del adolescente con ECV.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this research work is to describe the coping and adaptation strategies used by adolescents in the face of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), through an integrative review of the literature, maintaining the parameters of Whittemore y Knafl (2005), with a descriptive and retrospective scope of ten years. According to the search strategy applied to the databases EBSCO / HOST, SCOPUS, Scielo, Ovid Nurse and Pubmed, 12506 bibliographic references were identified (689 in EBSCO-HOST, 3 in Scielo, 287 in Scopus and 10565 in Ovid Nurse), after apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 52 pieces of quasi-experimental, qualitative, quantitative type, reviews and expert opinion were selected. The investigations were characterized according to discipline, level of training of the main author, publications by country, by language, by trend of the year of publication, by database / search engine, level of evidence and methodological design. For the thematization of the information, the content analysis technique was used that allowed to abstract, simplify and compile the information of the 52 pieces in an analysis matrix from which units of analysis, subcategories and categories were generated that were exposed through networks of sense. The strategies identified comprise five categories ordinary practices and support practices such as activities and interventions; mental-affective skills that are innate and acquired; ineffective skills that play a negative role in the behavior and outcome of adaptation and the revealed sensations that constitute all the negative feelings of internalization and externalization of the adolescent with CVD
