Uma contribuição ao estudo da racionalidade médica homeopática em um ambulatório do Sistema Único de Saúde em Porto Alegre, RS / A contribution to the study of homeopathic medical rationality in an ambulatory of Unified Health National System in Porto Alegre, RS

RESUMO

Este artigo apresenta a Homeopatia como Racionalidade Médica, com seu paradigma vitalista, e como isso foi vivenciado/experimentado em um Ambulatório de Homeopatia no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) no município de Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul (RS). É um estudo qualitativo e tem como objetivo compreender o entendimento dos sujeitos em tratamento homeopático e as possíveis influências em suas vidas e em seu viver. Tem como objeto o tratamento homeopático de dez sujeitos atendidos no ambulatório, no período entre 2007 a 2014. Os resultados principais foram 1) uma medicina centrada no sujeito; 2) a busca por um cuidado integral; 3) a noção de saúde como equilíbrio; 4) a confiança na terapêutica e 5) um tratamento suave e duradouro. Como recomendações, os sujeitos sugerem que este tratamento esteja mais disponível, com mais divulgação e acesso. Por fim, entende-se que a implantação da Política das Práticas Integrativas no SUS é um desafio, em Porto Alegre, necessita de apoio e pressão política organizada por parte de usuários, profissionais especializados e gestores para efetivação.

ABSTRACT

This article presents Homeopathy as a Medical Rationality based on its vitalist paradigm and how it has been experienced in a Homeopathy Outpatient Clinic in the Unified Health System (SUS) in Porto Alegre (RS). It is a qualitative study that aims at the homeopathic treatment of ten subjects attended in this clinic between 2007 and 2014. This study aims to understand the subjects' understanding of this treatment and its possible influences on their lives. As central themes of the interview analysis appear 1) a subject-centered medicine; 2) the search for an integral treatment; 3) the notion of health as a balance; 4) the confidence in the treatment, and 5) a smooth and long-lasting treatment. As for recommendations, the individuals suggest that this treatment should be more available, with more disclosure and access. Finally, it is understood that implementing the Policy of Integrative Practices in the SUS is a challenge. In Porto Alegre, it needs support and organized political pressure from users, specialized professionals, and managers.
