RESUMEN
Objetivo:
determinar la relación entre la calidad de vida y soporte social percibido en los cuidadores familiares de personas en tratamiento contra el cáncer.Método:
estudio descriptivo, de correlación, abordaje cuantitativo y corte transversal. Participaron 75 cuidadores familiares que asisten a una institución de tercer nivel de atención en salud de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Instrumentos, calidad de vida versión familiar y soporte social percibido. Análisis se utilizó estadística descriptiva y el coeficiente de correlación lineal de Pearson.Resultados:
los cuidadores familiares son en su mayoría mujeres, de estratos socioeconómicos bajos, ocupación hogar, una mediana de 18 horas día a la asistencia y cuidado, con una percepción media a alta de su calidad de vida (69,30%), una percepción media a alta del soporte social (67,5%). Se identificó una correlación con r =0.493 y un valor de p=.000, estadísticamente significativa.Conclusión:
existe correlación positiva entre la calidad de vida y el soporte social en los cuidadores familiares.ABSTRACT

A descriptive study, correlation, quantitative approach and cross-sectional. 75 family caregivers participated of a tertiary health care level institution of the city Bucaramanga. Instruments used were Quality of life family version and social Support in chronic disease.Analysis:

Family caregivers are mostly women, low socioeconomic status, home occupation, a median of 18 hours and day care attendance, with a medium to high perception of their quality of life (69.30%), one medium to high perception of social support (67.5%). We identified a correlation with r = 0.493 and p = 0.000, statistically significant.Conclusion:
There is a positive correlation between the quality of family life and perceived social support in family caregivers.
