Utilización de propóleos en heridas complejas / Use of propolis in complex wounds

RESUMEN

El tratamiento de las heridas complejas es una problemática de difícil resolución para todo aquel que se ocupa específi camente de ellas, debido a la insufi ciente respuesta terapéutica a los productos usuales en determinados casos. El Propóleos forma parte de las terapias naturales con reconocidas propiedades antibacteriana, antiinfl amatoria, antioxidante, inmunomoduladora y cicatrizante, que muestra, hoy en día, una aptitud para el manejo de heridas complejas. Debido a ello se decidió realizar un estudio descriptivo multicéntrico desde octubre del 2015 hasta mayo del 2017, con 120 pacientes que presentaron heridas complejas agudas o crónicas de diversas etiologías para evidenciar su utilidad.

ABSTRACT

The treatment of complex wounds is a problem of diffi cult resolution for people who deals with it, because its insuffi cient response to the usual products in certain cases. Propolis belongs to natural therapies and has properties such as antibacterial, anti-infl ammatory, antioxidant, antipathogenic, immunomodulatory and healing. Nowadays it shows an ability for handling complex wounds. That is the reason we decided to perform a multicentric descriptive study from October 2015 to May 2017, with 120 patients presenting acute or chronic complex wounds from diverse etiologies to prove their usefulness
