RESUMEN

Se revisa el concepto de Telegeriatría, incluyendo elementos relacionados como "tecnología inteligente" y "envejecimiento in situ". Se definen sus objetivos y formas de clasificación. Se establecen perspectivas de desarrollo y se identifican dificultades en la implementación de modelos en la región latinoamericana. Se exponen algunos ejemplos de desarrollo en Europa y en América Latina. Se discuten algunos elementos a tener en cuenta para facilitar el desarrollo de la Telegeriatría en América Latina

ABSTRACT

We review the concept of tele-geriatrics, including related themes such as "intelligent technology" and "in situ aging". We define its objectives and classifications. We establish development perspectives and identify difficulties in its implementation in Latin America. We look at some examples developed in Europe and Latin America. We discuss what to bear in mind to facilitate the development of tele-geriatrics in Latin America.
