RESUMEN
La gran capacidad contagiosa, el alto nivel patogénico del Sars-Cov-2 y el subsecuente riesgo que representa el contacto físico entre las personas, motivó medidas como el distanciamiento social y el cierre de instituciones, entre ellas las universitarias. De esta manera, muchos docentes que impartían sus clases de forma presencial, se vieron ante la necesidad de educar desde la virtualidad. No obstante, una gran proporción de estos profesionales no contaban con la preparación técnica para abordar esta metodología, que comprende el planteamiento, elaboración y ejecución de diversos materiales y actividades demandantes que se suman a las horas de trabajo virtual sincrónico, resultando en extensas jornadas. De acuerdo a investigaciones previas, esto ha causado un cansancio emocional y un agotamiento físico del docente. La presente investigación propuso como objetivo analizar los niveles de síndrome de Burnout en docentes universitarios de América Latina, buscando entender si estos valores se deben sólo a la percepción de estos profesionales o si, por el contrario, se relacionan con los riesgos y consecuencias de la enfermedad del covid-19(AU)
ABSTRACT
The great contagious capacity, the high pathogenic level of Sars-Cov-2 and the subsequent risk represented by physical contact between people, motivated measures such as social distancing and the closure of institutions, including university ones. In this way, many teachers who taught their classes in person, were faced with the need to educate from virtuality. However, a large proportion of these professionals did not have the technical preparation to approach this methodology, which includes the planning, preparation and execution of various demanding materials and activities that are added to the hours of synchronous virtual work, resulting in long hours. According to previous research, this has caused emotional exhaustion and physical exhaustion of the teacher. The present research proposed as an objective to analyze the levels of Burnout syndrome in university professors in Latin America, seeking to understand if these values are due only to the perception of these professionals or if, on the contrary, they are related to the risks and consequences of the covid-19 disease(AU)
