Narrativas maternas: um estudo transcultural com mulheres brasileiras e francesas / Maternal narratives: a transcultural study with Brazilian and French women

RESUMO

Este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer a experiência de mulheres brasileiras e francesas mães de meninas com idade entre três semanas e 11 meses. A perspectiva epistemológica foi a qualitativa e a estratégia metodológica foi a das narrativas psicanalíticas, interpretadas segundo o referencial winnicottiano. Foi utilizado como mediador da comunicação com as mães o Teste de Apercepção Temática Infantil. Os relatos das mulheres brasileiras giraram em torno do processo de simbiose e diferenciação entre a díade mãe-bebê, dos recursos empregados para seu manejo e da tarefa da maternidade centralizada na mulher, sendo o pai um colaborador. Os relatos das francesas compartilharam a mesma temática, mas com maior valorização do resgate da própria autonomia e da do bebê. Além disso, em comparação com as mães brasileiras, a tarefa da educação da filha foi mais compartilhada por ambos os genitores franceses.

ABSTRACT

This study aimed to know the experience of Brazilian and French mothers of female babies aging from three weeks old to eleven-month old. The epistemological perspective was the qualitative and the methodological strategy was the psychoanalytical narratives interpreted according to Winnicott's theory. The Children's Apperception Test was employed as a mediator of communication with mothers. Brazilian women's narratives emphasized the symbiosis and the differentiation process between the mother and the baby and the resources used to handle it as well as educational role being focused on the woman - the father being only someone who helps them. French mothers' narratives were about the same theme, but giving more importance to rescuing its own autonomy and the baby's. Compared to Brazilian mothers, the responsibility to educate their daughter were more often shared between both French parents.
