Morte, narcisismo e invisibilidade nos quadros limítrofes: um estudo clínico / Death, narcissism and invisibility in borderline states: a clinical study

RESUMO

O conceito de pulsão de morte é um dos mais polêmicos e complexos da metapsicologia freudiana, com variados desdobramentos nas tradições psicanalíticas. Embora de formas distintas, tanto a tradição inglesa quanto a francesa insistem em uma perspectiva mais traumática e positiva dos efeitos disruptivos da pulsão de morte. No entanto, a clínica contemporânea aponta para configurações subjetivas em que o vínculo com os objetos e a realidade caracterizam-se mais pelo trabalho do negativo, em que o desinvestimento objetal e narcísico são a tônica. Ilustra-se essa posição com o relato de um caso clínico de quadro limítrofe marcado pela escopofilia mortífera, depressividade e automutilação, em que se destacam a implicação do corpo e a oscilação entre o eu e o ideal do eu. Conclui-se que a noção de um narcisismo negativo constitui um operador importante para a compreensão dos desdobramentos da pulsão de morte na dinâmica da subjetividade contemporânea.

ABSTRACT

The death drive concept is one of the most polemic and complex of Freudian metapsychology, with a variety of developments in psychoanalytic traditions. Although in different ways, both English and French tradition insist on a more traumatic and positive outlook of the disruptive effects of death drive. However, the contemporary clinic points to subjective configurations in which the bond with objects and reality are characterized more by the work of the negative, in which object and narcissistic disinvestment are the tonic. This position is illustrated by the report of a clinical case of a borderline marked by deadly scopophilia, depressivity and self-mutilation, in which the implication of the body and the oscillation between the ego and the ideal of ego stand out. It is concluded that the notion of negative narcissism constitutes an important operator for understanding the unfolding of the death instinct in the dynamics of contemporary subjectivity.
