O tesauro Descritores em Ciências da Saúde como um instrumento linguístico-ideológico: as lutas sociais no campo trabalho, educação e saúde / Health Science Descriptors thesaurus (DeCS) as an ideological and discursive object: social fights in the work field, education and health

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to analyze the indexing and recovering tool called Health Science Descriptors thesaurus (DeCS) as an ideological and discursive object using the French-Brazilian Discourse Analysis perspective and the field of History of Linguistic Ideas. DeCS was created by the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences, also known by its original name Regional Library of Medicine (BIREME, acronym in Portuguese) and by the US National Library of Medicine (NLM). This work is divided in three chapters. In the first, we consider the political, social and historical background in which DeCS glossary was created the creation of health libraries by PAHO/WHO, and the hegemonic conceptions of health professional education, including legislation about it. In addition, in this first chapter, we point that structural duality is one of the explanatory notions for education under Capitalism. In the second chapter, we define DeCS as a linguistic-ideological tool, i.e. a metalinguistic technology that defines and redefines linguistic knowledge, just as grammars and dictionaries, and therefore having a discursive function. In the third chapter, we analyze the following entries of DeCS related to the fields of work, education and health Education, Curriculum, Professional Education and Professional Qualification. From this analysis, we conclude that the educational duality that structures society is necessary to reproduce Capitalism, and that DeCS is conditioned by these determinations, constituting itself as an ideological-discursive tool. At last, this work tries to contribute to the field of Library Science with reflections about discourse and ideology in reading, selecting and construction of documentary languages.

RESUMO

O objetivo da dissertação consiste em analisar o instrumento de indexação e recuperação da informação denominado tesauro Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) como um objeto ideológico-discursivo, a partir da perspectiva da Análise do Discurso francobrasileira e do campo da História das Ideias Linguísticas. O DeCS foi produzido pela Bireme (Biblioteca Regional de Medicina, atualmente, Centro Latino-Americano e do Caribe de Informação em Ciências da Saúde) e pela NLM (National Library of Medicine, isto é, a Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina dos EUA). Para fazer essa análise, a dissertação parte, no primeiro capítulo, do contexto político, social e histórico no qual se insere a criação do glossário do DeCS a criação de bibliotecas de saúde pela Opas/OMS e as concepções hegemônicas de educação profissional em saúde, inclusive concretizadas na forma de regulamentações e leis. Ainda nesse capítulo, indica-se que a dualidade estrutural constitui uma noção explicativa da educação sob o capital. No segundo capítulo, define-se o DeCS como instrumento linguístico-ideológico, isto é, uma tecnologia metalinguística que define e redefine o saber linguístico, do mesmo modo que gramáticas e dicionários, tendo também um funcionamento discursivo. No terceiro capítulo, efetua-se a análise dos seguintes verbetes relacionados ao campo trabalho, educação e saúde no DeCS Educação, Currículo, Educação Profissionalizante e Credenciamento. Conclui-se que a dualidade educacional que estrutura a sociedade de classes é necessária para a reprodução do capitalismo e que o DeCS está condicionado por tais determinações, se constituindo em um instrumento discursivoideológico. Em última instância, este trabalho busca contribuir para o campo da Biblioteconomia com reflexões sobre discurso e ideologia na leitura, seleção e construção de linguagens documentárias
