RESUMEN

a temática sobre la persona adulta mayor y los servicios bibliotecarios, es un asunto que cobra interés en el ámbito costarricense, al presentarse un incremento en esta población. El estudio tiene como finalidad hacer una revisión sistemática sobre la producción científica que se está generando en el ámbito bibliotecológico acerca de este tema, para conocer cuáles son las áreas más investigadas. Esto permitirá generar un marco teórico que servirá de base para realizar estudios en diversos ámbitos de la profesión, con el fin de atender las necesidades propias de este grupo de la población.

ABSTRACT

he thematic about elderly people and library services is a subject that raises interest in Costa Rica since there has been an increase in this population. The subject aims to make a systematic review about the scientific production that is being formulated in the library science field in order to distinguish which are the most researched areas. This will allow creating a theoretical framework that will work as a basis for studies in order to fulfill the needs of this specific population.
