RESUMEN
Se realiza un recuento de la significativa trayectoria profesional y humana del doctor Hugo Orlando Torres Aldrich, quien fuera combatiente de la sierra y el llano, pediatra, cardiólogo, nefrólogo, educador de varias generaciones de galenos e incansable estudioso de las ciencias médicas. Con el presente artículo se rinde tributo a esta prestigiosa figura, cuya vida de valiosa entrega a tan hermosa profesión, resulta ejemplo a graduados y futuros profesionales de la medicina. El estudio de la vida y obra del Dr. Hugo Torres Aldrich, promueve que profesores y estudiantes compartan experiencias que los conduzcan a descubrir sus potencialidades, en aras de consolidar los valores morales necesarios para su actuación profesional.
ABSTRACT
The significant professional and human career of Dr. Hugo Orlando Torres Aldrich (1926 - 2008), who was a fighter of the mountains and plains, pediatrician, cardiologist, nephrologist, educator of several generations of doctors and a tireless student of medical sciences is remembered in this paper. This historical reviews and pays tribute to this prestigious figure, whose life of valuable dedication to such a beautiful profession is an example to graduates and future professionals of medicine. The study of the life and work of Dr. Hugo Torres Aldrich encourages teachers and students to share experiences that lead to discover their potential, in order to consolidate the necessary moral values for their performance.
