Deixa eu te contar histórias que a história não conta: mulheres e prisões, a vivência da maternidade no cárcere / Let me tell you stories that the story doesn't tell: women and prisons, the experience of motherhood in prison

RESUMO

Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar a experiência da maternidade para mulheres que estiveram em situação de prisão na Unidade Materno Infantil de uma penitenciária feminina localizada no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Foram entrevistadas, em seus domicílios, sete mulheres no período de setembro a dezembro de 2018. O estudo revelou que, a exemplo do que acontece em outras penitenciárias femininas, as mulheres que gestam no cárcere são em sua maioria pobres, negras, possuem poucos anos de estudo e são presas por tráfico de drogas. Todas as participantes relatam terem sido submetidas a situações de violência desde a abordagem policial, antes do aprisionamento. Quando já privadas de liberdade, foram submetidas a humilhações, deficitário acesso à saúde, violência psicológica e moral por parte de agentes de segurança e por parte dos profissionais da saúde. A experiência do parto foi permeada pela presença de violência institucional e de relatos de solidão e desamparo. A saída da penitenciária é uma experiência que mantém esse estado de desamparo devido à desarticulação dos serviços para dar suporte às mulheres, que retornam as suas comunidades junto de seus filhos e filhas que nasceram no cárcere. O estudo expôs ainda que a penitenciária, embora com ala específica para mulher gestante e com filhos, está longe de fazer valer as Regras Mínimas de Tratamento de Presas, em vigor desde 2010. Reforçamos a necessidade de maior investimento na rede de cuidados à saúde da mulher privada de liberdade, em especial mulheres gestantes e puérperas.

ABSTRACT

This work aims to analyze the experiences of gestation and childbirth of women in prison situation. This is a qualitative study with the thematic analysis of the reports of women from the prison system who experienced gestation and childbirth in a Women's Penitentiary in the capital city in southern Brazil. Seven women were interviewed in their homes from September to December 2018. The study revealed that, similar to what happens in other women's prisons, women who are pregnant in prison are mostly poor, black, have a few years of study and are arrested for drug trafficking. All participants were subjected to violence from a political approach, prior to imprisonment. When already deprived of their liberty, they were subjected to humiliation, omissions, deficient access to health, psychological and moral violence by security agents and part of health professionals. The experience of childbirth was permeated by the presence of institutional violence, reports of loneliness and helplessness. The prison's exit is a landmark that attracts the helplessness and the disarticulation of services to support women who return to their communities with their children in prison.The study also explained that the penitentiary, although with specific wing for pregnant women and woman with children, is far from enforcing the Minimum Rules for the Treatment of Prey, in force since 2010. We emphasize the need for greater investments in the health care network of women deprived of their liberty, especially pregnant women and women who have recently given birth.
