RESUMEN

La Encuesta Nacional de Salud Mental (ENSM) 2022, ha sido planificada y ejecutada por el Ministerio de Salud a través del Instituto Nacional de Salud (INS), cuya finalidad es, tener una línea de base que proporcione información de problemas de salud mental priorizada de la población a partir de los tres años de edad; creándose indicadores que favorezcan el diagnóstico de la situación actual de salud mental en las diversas etapas de la vida. Su objetivo es describir la situación del estado de salud mental, trastornos mentales, problemas psicosociales y brechas de acceso a servicios de atención en salud mental en la población mayor de tres años de El Salvador

ABSTRACT

The National Mental Health Survey (ENSM) 2022 has been planned and implemented by the Ministry of Health through the National Institute of Health (INS), the purpose of which is to have a baseline that provides information on priority mental health problems of the population from the age of three; by creating indicators that favour the diagnosis of the current mental health situation in the various stages of life. Its objective is to describe the state of mental health, mental disorders, psychosocial problems and gaps in access to mental health care services in the population over three years of age in El Salvador
