RESUMEN

Con este trabajo de naturaleza histórica completamos la historia de la primera institución psiquiátrica nacional, desde su fundación en 1852 hasta 2010.Esta parte comienza con la iniciación de la Dictadura Militar y la fundación de los nuevos Servicios Regionales de Salud en 1980. Después de terminada la mala administración del director delegado de gobierno, se instaló una gestión a cargo de un grupo proveniente del Área Oriente. El director Dr. L. Gomberoff durante 10 años cumplió una satisfactoria gestión que recuperó una institución muy destruida. En el trabajo se describen los principales beneficios de ese período. Continúan nuevos responsables destacando, el Dr. Ignacio Morlans, quien también después de una larga gestión deja al hospital en buen nivel de eficiencia, cuyo detalle se describe en la comunicación.

ABSTRACT

With this work of historical nature we complete the history of the first national psychiatric institution, from its foundation in 1852 to 2010.This part begins with the beginning of the Military Dictatorship and the foundation of the new Regional Services of Health in 1980. After finishing with the mismanagement of the delegated director of government, a new leadership was installed by a group from the East Area of Health, and Director Dr. Luis Gomberoff served for 10 years a satisfactory management management that recovered a very demolished institution; the main benefits of this period are described in this paper. New people then came in charge; we emphasize the leadership of Dr. Ignacio Morlans who, also after a long management, leaves the hospital in a good level of efficiency; the details are described in this communication.
