RESUMO

Freud, referindo-se à mulher como continente negro, se interroga: O que quer uma mulher? Lacan responde: A mulher não existe, o que ele expressa no matema: S(Ⱥ). J.-A. Miller, ao comentar essa afirmação de Lacan, indica que ela é a amiga do real. Essa pesquisa sobre A beleza que vela o feminino, fundamentada na obra de Freud, no ensino de Lacan, de J.-A. Miller e em alguns textos de seus comentadores, redundou na proposta de que há uma afinidade entre Ⱥ mulher e o atributo da beleza, ou seja, a beleza como um recurso para ser identificada ao falo, na tentativa de escamotear sua castração.

Freud, en faisant référence à la femme en tant que continent noir, s’interroge: Qu’est-ce que veut une femme?. Lacan le répond: La femme n’existe pas, ce qu’il a exprimé au mathéme: S(Ⱥ). J.-A. Miller, en commentant cet énoncé, il indique qu’elle est l’ amie du reel. Cette recherche, sur La beauté qui voile le féminin, basé sur le travail de Freud, de J.-A. Miller, ainsi que quelques de ses commentateurs, a abouti à la proposition selon laquelle il y a une affinité entre l’Ⱥ femme et l’attribut de la beauté comme une ressource pour être identifiée auphallus, en essayant de cacher sa castration.

ABSTRACT

When Freud refers to the woman as a black continent he asks himself the following question: What does a woman want? To that, Lacan replies, The woman does not exist, he expressed it in the matheme: S (Ⱥ). J-A Miller comments on this statement made byLacan by indicating that she is the friend of the real . This research on The beauty that guards the feminine, based on Freud’s work, on Lacan’s, on J.-A. Miller’s, and on some texts by their reviewers ended up by proposing that there is an affinity between the Ⱥ woman and the attribute of beauty, which means beauty can be perceived as a resource to be identified with the phallus, in an attempt to conceal her castration.
