RESUMEN
Fundamento el carcinoma de células renales se caracteriza por una pobre respuesta al tratamiento adyuvante con quimioterapia. Objetivo:
mejorar el intervalo libre de enfermedad; la sobrevida global y la calidad de vida del paciente. Caso Clínico paciente de 63 años con un tumor renal derecho al cual se le realizó una nefrectomía total en agosto de 1998, en mayo del 2002 se le diagnosticaron adenopatías metastásicas intrabdominales y en noviembre del propio año fue operado por una metástasis suprarrenal derecha. En diciembre de 2006 se comenzó inmunoterapia combinada y se logra mantener al paciente en respuesta completa hasta el momento actual.Conclusiones:
la inmunoterapia combinada puede ser efectiva en el manejo de este tipo de tumor.ABSTRACT
Background:
kidney cells carcinoma therapy is characterized by a poor response to adjuvant treatment.Objective:
to improve the free disease interval; global survive and quality of life. Clinical Case a sixty three- year-old patient with a right kidney carcinoma was operated in August 1998. In May, 2002 he was diagnosed with abdominal adenopathies. On November, 2002 he was operated again because ofdrenal metastases. On December, 2006 he began combined immunotherapy obtaining a complete response of him for the time being.Conclusions:
combined immunotherapy can be effective in the management of this type of tumor.
