ABSTRACT
The development of surgical techniques and biomaterials for bone grafting has led to their use in the solution of complex cases of oral rehabilitation where there is a bone loss which requires restoration. These improvements can be used in the everyday clinic, with a high success index and minimum patient discomfort. Amongst the most useful biomaterials, hydroxyapatite is outstanding not only because it is similar to the human mineral and biocompatibility, but also due to its bone conduction capacity. The objective of this paper was to evaluate from clinical and histomorphometric modes, samples collected from grafted sites in maxillary sinus with a new synthetic hydroxyapatite associated to platelet-rich plasma
