Conhecimento e percepção dos educadores do ensino infantil sobre violência / Knowledge and perception about violence of children educators

RESUMO

Introdução: A violência e suas repercussões, tanto na saúde quanto na qualidade de vida da população, têm sido alvo de inúmeros estudos, envolvendo sua prevalência, detecção de maus-tratos, entre outros. Porém, faz-se necessário verificar o conhecimento de educadores do ensino infantil, visto que a formação dos conceitos do indivíduo tem relação com as concepções de quem ele convive, como os pais e professores com os quais mantêm um tipo de relação importante. Objetivo: Investigar o conhecimento, percepções e atitudes de educadores do ensino infantil, acerca da violência. Metodologia: Realizou-se um estudo descritivo, com abordagem quantiqualitativa, utilizando um questionário semi-estruturado auto aplicado, aos educadores de todas as Escolas Municipais de Educação Básica de Araçatuba-SP. As questões abertas foram analisadas pela técnica da análise de conteúdo e as perguntas fechadas através do programa Epi Info 3.2.5. Resultados: Dos 164 participantes do estudo, 75% consideraram a violência física como o principal tipo de violência sofrido pelas crianças; 87,2% afirmaram tomar alguma atitude, ao presenciar algum ato de violência infantil, sendo 38,4% os educadores que interfeririam através do diálogo e 21,3% denunciariam o fato ao Conselho, entre outras condutas. Conclusão: Concluiu-se que os educadores do ensino infantil possuem amplo conhecimento a respeito do assunto, porém, para que as ações contra a violência sejam, de fato, efetivadas, existe a necessidade de implementar nas escolas um protocolo a ser seguido pelos educadores frente a situações de violência. ABSTRACT

Introduction: The violence and its repercussions, both in health and in the quality of life, have been the subject of numerous studies involving prevalence, detection of abuse, and others. However, it is necessary to verify the knowledge of educators teaching children, since the formation of the concepts of the individual is related to the conceptions of who he or she lives with such as parents and teachers with whom they have an important kind of relationship. Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the knowledge, perceptions and attitudes of educators teaching child about violence. Methodology: We conducted a descriptive study with quantitative and qualitative approach, using a semi-structured self-administered quiz survey to educators of all Municipal Primary Schools of Araçatuba city-SP. The open questions were analyzed using content analysis and closed questions analyzed using Epi Info 3.2.5 software. Results: Of the 164 study participants, 75% considered physical violence as the main type of violence suffered by children, 87.2% reported taking some action upon witnessing an act of violence against children, and 38.4%, of educators who would take the action of talking to the child and 21.3% would report the matter to the Council, among other approaches. Conclusion: It was concluded that children educators have extensive knowledge on the subject, however, in order to the actions against violence to be actually implemented, there is a need to implement in schools a protocol to be followed by educators in situations of violence (AU).
