Apoio comunitário na atenção integral ao idoso: uma revisão integrativa sobre as publicações científicas entre 1997 e 2011 / Community-based support to elderly care: an integrative review about the scientific publication between 1997 and 2011

RESUMO

Objetivo: Sintetizar o conhecimento sobre apoio comunitário e saúde do idoso, construindo categorias sobre as temáticas centrais da literatura analisada. Métodos: Foram analisados integralmente 31 artigos em Inglês e acessados por meio dos bancos de dados Lilacs e Pubmed/MedLine. Para resgate da amostra utilizaram-se os descritores Redes de saúde comunitária e Atenção integral à saúde do idoso entre os anos de 1997 e 2011. Resultados: A maioria dos artigos foi publicada em revistas da área da Saúde e Tecnologia (37,6%), sendo 37,5% representados por pesquisas quantitativas e 35,5% por reflexões teóricas. Dentre todas as categorias Conceitos de atenção primária foi a mais prevalente com 33,4% de artigos abordando essa temática. Conclusão: A pesquisa considerou que novos estudos devem ser realizados nesta temática e que a Atenção Primária, enquanto reorganização do sistemade saúde colabora com alguns princípios norteadores para a construção de suporte social e apoio comunitário ao idoso.

ABSTRACT

Objective: Summarize the knowledge about community support and elderly health, constructing categories about the main issue of each analyzed article. Method: It was analyzed 31 articles written in English which were accessed by Lilacs and Pubmed/Medlne data base. The sample of study was reached by the descriptors Community Networks and Health Services for the Aged between 1997 and 2011. Result: Most of the articles was published in Health and technology journals (37.6%), 37.5% were represented quantitative researches and 35.5% were Literature Reviews. Among all the categories that were studied it was observed that Primary Health Concepts was the most prevalent, with 33.4% of the published articles. Conclusion: This research considered that new studies should be developed and that the Primary Health, as a procedure to reorganize the public health system, helps to construct the social and community-based support to the elderly people with some guiding principles.
