RESUMO
OBJETIVO:
Identificar a percepção dos adolescentes acerca da autoimagem corporal.MÉTODOS:
Estudo descritivo, de corte transversal, com coleta de dados primários, acerca da percepção da autoimagem corporal, junto a adolescentes do sexo feminino, com idade entre 10 a 18 anos, que desenvolviam suas atividades estudantis em uma escola municipal no sudoeste baiano.RESULTADOS:
Das 143 adolescentes matriculadas na instituição, foram entrevistadas 51, com idade entre 10 e 18 anos, cursando o Ensino Fundamental. Destas, 15,69% cursavam até o quinto ano do Ensino Fundamental I e 84,31% o sexto ano do Ensino Fundamental II.CONCLUSÃO:
As adolescentes não se sentiam inferior, quando comparadas com o físico de outras mulheres.(AU)ABSTRACT
OBJECTIVE:

This is a descriptive, cross-sectional study with primary data collection on the perception of body self-image by female adolescents aged between 10 and 18 years, who studied at a municipal school in the Southwest of the state of Bahia.RESULTS:
Of the 143 adolescents enrolled in the institution, 51 adolescents between 10 and 18 years old attending elementary school were interviewed. Of these, 15.69% attended the 5th year of elementary school and 84.31% the 6th year of elementary school.CONCLUSION:
It was observed that adolescents do not feel inferior when their bodies were compared to those of other women.(AU)Key words
