Preferência dos estudantes de um curso de odontologia quanto ao aprendizado da técnica radiográfica periapical com e sem uso de posicionadores / Dental students' preferences on learning periapical radiographic technique with or without using positioning devices

RESUMO

O presente estudo teve por objetivo avaliar a preferência dos alunos de radiologia do curso de Odontologia da ULBRA Torres quanto ao aprendizado da técnica radiográfica periapical com e sem o uso de posicionadores. Participaram 26 alunos que foram aleatoriamente divididos em 2 grupos (A) grupo que realizou duas radiografias da região superior (anterior e posterior) usando a técnica periapical da bissetriz sem o uso de posicionadores e, depois, com o uso de posicionadores. Na aula seguinte, os mesmos alunos realizaram duas radiografias da região inferior (anterior e posterior) usando a técnica periapical com posicionador e depois a bissetriz sem posicionador; (B) grupo que realizou duas radiografias da região superior (anterior e posterior) usando a técnica periapical com o uso de posicionadores e depois a bissetriz sem ouso de posicionadores. Na aula seguinte, os mesmos alunos realizaram duas radiografias da região inferior (anterior e posterior) usando a técnica periapical da bissetriz sem posicionador e depois com posicionador. Ao final foi aplicado um questionário sobre a preferência dos alunos em relação à aprendizagem com e sem uso de posicionadores. Dos 26 alunos que participaram da pesquisa 9 (34,6%) preferiram aprender realizando a técnica da bissetriz sem uso de posicionadores e depois com, 16 (61,6%) preferiram com o uso de posicionadores e depois sem e 1 (3,80%) não percebeu diferença. Concluise que os alunos participantes do estudo preferiram realizar a técnica periapical usando antes o posicionador, pois este facilitaria o aprendizado (AU).

ABSTRACT

In order to evaluate ULBRA Torres students' preferences on learning the radiographic technique - with or without periapical periapical positioning devices, 26 students participated in this study. They were divided into 2 groups. In group (A) students took upper region periapical radiographs (anterior and posterior) using the bisector technique without the use of positioning devices (PD) and then with the use of PD. In the next class, two lower region radiographs (anterior and posterior) with and then without PD. In group (B) students held two x-rays of the upper region (anterior and posterior) using the bisector technique with the use of PD and later without the use of PD. In the class following, two lower region radiographs (anterior and posterior) without and then with PD. A questionnaire was applied on their preferences about learning with and without use or without PD. From the 26 students who returned the questionnaire, 9 (34.6%) preferred to practice first without and later with PD, 16 (61.6%) preferred to practice first with use of PD and later without it and there was no difference for 1 student (3.80%). In conclusion, ULBRA Torres 2014/1 students preferred to learn the periapical technique first using the PD and then without, because they believe that PD facilitates learning (AU).
