RESUMO
A papilomatose laríngea é uma doença com etiologia relacionada ao papilomavírus humano. Afeta adultos e crianças nas formas única e múltipla. São tumores benignos com potencial morbimortalidade em função do envolvimento da via aérea e de possível malignização. Seu tratamento é controverso, mas, atualmente, realiza-se exérese cirúrgica e é possível usar cidofovir.
ABSTRACT
Laryngeal papillomatosis is a disease associated with human papilloma vírus. It occurs in adults and children as single or multiple tumors. It has a benign behavior, but its morbimortality is due to the airway involvement and potencial malignization. Its treatment is controversial, surgery is indicated and cidofovir can be used.
