O Mar e o risco: análise semiótica de jogos praticados em praias do litoral paraibano / The sea and the risk: semiotic analysis of games practiced on beaches of paraíba coast

RESUMO

Este artigo tem como objetivo responder a seguinte questão-problema qual a produção de sentidos da movimentação dos jogadores em jogos praticados no mar? A partir da semiótica foram analisados os efeitos sígnicos dos jogos mais praticados nas praias urbanas da grande João Pessoa, Paraíba. Foram três meses de visitas a estas praias, num total de 40 horas de observações. A partir da análise dos dados foi possível compreender que os jogadores utilizam de tarefas motoras abertas para se adaptarem as situações desafiadoras, decorrentes da instabilidade do ambiente, bem como para experimentar sensações prazerosas. Assim concluímos que os significados do movimento humano na natureza estão diretamente relacionados com a capacidade adaptativa e a busca por prazer.

ABSTRACT

This article aims to answer the following problem: what is the production of meanings of the movement of players in games played at sea? From the semiotics point of view, it was analyzed signal effects of the most practiced games in the urban beaches of João Pessoa, Paraíba. There were three months of visits to these beaches, in a total of 40 hours of observations. From the analysis of the data it was possible to understand that players use open motor tasks to adapt to challenging situations, due to instability of the environment, as well as to experience pleasurable sensations. Thus we conclude that the meanings of human movement in nature are related to an adaptive capacity and the search for pleasure.
