Implantação de políticas públicas em saúde mental: o caso de São João del Rei / Implantation of public policies in mental health: the case of São João del Rei

RESUMO

O presente artigo discute a implantação das políticas públicas federais em saúde mental no município de São João del Rei. As coordenadas que subsidiaram este trabalho decorreram do desenvolvimento de um projeto de extensão que fomenta um amplo campo de debates sobre as políticas públicas em Saúde Mental e Educação, utilizando-se de entrevistas com os profissionais da rede pública do município. A problemática elucidada se refere à tensão existente entre a criação de políticas federais em saúde mental e sua implantação nos municípios, uma vez que o efetivo funcionamento desses serviços é concernente a realidade administrativa de cada município.

ABSTRACT

The present article discusses the implantation of public policies in the municipality of São João del Rei. The coordinates which subsidized this work arose from the development of an extension project that aims to create a wide field of debates as to public policy in Mental Health and Education, using interviews with professionals from the public network of the municipality. The problem that this article deals with concerns the tension existing between the creation of federal policies of mental health and their subsequent implantation in the municipalities, considering that the effective functioning of these services depends on the administrative reality of each municipality.
