O boi, a dança e as crianças: festa, folguedo e brincadeira em experiências de infâncias na cidade de Manaus / The boi, the dance and the children: party, revelry and play in childhood experiences in the city of Manaus

RESUMO

Apresentamos neste artigo um olhar sobre a centralidade das crianças na festa e na brincadeira do boi de Garrote na cidade de Manaus. Atentos a possibilidade de relacionamos sentidos do lazer às ricas relações da experiência cultural, propomos uma aproximação de uma das manifestações do boi-bumbá, que guarda vários universos de práticas de acordo com sua região. Em um universo em que, para muitos moradores da cidade, era visto como algo que não mais existia, buscamos revelar como este folguedo é uma prática viva e atuante, que revela modos de interação social entre crianças e suas vizinhanças. Ao problematizarmos sua manifestação como tempo-espaço observamos diversos modos de organização que escapam aos sentidos modernos do espetáculo e da vida fragmentada e individualizada. Ao estabelecer relações entre a dança, a criança, a educação e a cultura, buscamos caminhos de aproximação do lazer com o campo antropológico, enfatizando na cultura popular uma maneira singular de brincar o boi e uma prática criada para e pelas crianças.

ABSTRACT

We present in this article a look at the centrality of the children in the party and in the game of the bull of Garrote in the city of Manaus. Mindful of the possibility of relating senses of leisure to the rich relations of cultural experience, we propose an approximation of one of the manifestations of the Boi-bumbá, which holds several universes of practices according to its region. In a universe where, for many residents of the city, it was seen as something that no longer existed, we sought to reveal how this revelry is a lively and active practice that reveals ways of social interaction between children and their neighborhoods. In problematizing its manifestation as time-space we observe several modes of organization that escape the modern senses of the spectacle and the fragmented and individualized life. In establishing relationships between dance, children, education and culture, we seek ways of approaching leisure with the anthropological field, emphasizing in popular culture a unique way of playing the bull and a practice created for and by children.
