RESUMEN

En la actualidad, la invarianza factorial se lleva a cabo mediante un análisis factorial confirmatorio multigrupo, basado en los modelos de ecuaciones estructurales, y utilizándose programas informáticos como el Structural Equations Modeling Software (EQS) y Project for Statistical Computing (R),2,8 los cuales permiten comparar la equivalencia de la estructura de los instrumentos de medida entre los grupos.2,7,9 La ausencia de invarianza factorial puede generar interpretaciones erróneas o sesgadas acerca de las diferencias encontradas, no teniéndose certeza de que las mismas sean producto de las diferencias reales del constructo o de las respuestas diferentes a los ítems de los instrumentos empleados.4,8 Así mismo, el análisis de invarianza factorial se hace aún más necesario si los resultados de los estudios sirven como fundamento para proceso de diagnóstico, tratamiento, desarrollo de estudios epidemiológicos o para la formulación de políticas públicas en salud o educación.....
