Motivaciones de residentes de Medicina General Integral por la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud / Motivations of the General Integral Medicine toward Biblioteca Virtual en Salud de Cuba

RESUMEN

Introducción: en los últimos años se ha venido trabajando con ahínco en elevar las motivaciones de los residentes de Medicina General Integral hacia la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud en la realización de importantes investigaciones. Objetivo: identificar las motivaciones de los residentes de Medicina General Integral hacia la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud. Materiales y Métodos: se realizó un estudio analítico, longitudinal, prospectivo, rectorado por el método materialista dialéctico, el cual permitió el empleo de métodos teóricos, empíricos y estadísticos. Dentro de los primeros, el análisis-síntesis e inducción-deducción y en el segundo grupo el análisis documental y encuestas. Se utilizó una muestra de estudio representado por 50 residentes de Medicina General Integral del Policlínico universitario "Raúl Sánchez Rodríguez" en el período comprendido entre el 1ro de febrero y el 31 de abril de 2016. Resultados: predominaron los residentes motivados a la Biblioteca Virtual de Salud con 66 %. Dentro de los motivos a su uso se destacaron las búsquedas de información para trabajos científicos y revisiones bibliográficas con 60,6 %, mientras que los motivos de no hacer uso prevalecieron el empleo de otros textos y materiales de estudio con 35,3 %. Conclusiones: las motivaciones de los residentes hacia la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud estuvieron relacionadas con los intereses encontrados en ellos. El estudio aportó un diagnóstico de la situación actual y una prospectiva del nivel deseado de incuestionable valía para estrategias futuras (AU).

ABSTRACT

Introduction: during the last years, the staffs of Medical Universities have been working in increasing the motivations of the residents in General Integral Medicine toward Biblioteca Virtual en Salud de Cuba (Virtual Library on Health of Cuba in English) in carrying out important research. Objective: to identify the motivations of the residents of General Integral Medicine toward Biblioteca Virtual en Salud de Cuba. Materials and Methods: a prospective, longitudinal, analytical study was carried out using the dialectic materialist method that allowed applying theoretical, empiric and statistic methods. Among the first ones, the analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction were used, and in the second group, the documental analysis and surveys were used. The sample was formed by 50 residents of General Integral Medicine from the University Polyclinic "Raúl Sánchez Martínez" in the period February 1st-April 31, 2016. Results: the residents motivated toward Biblioteca Virtual en Salud de Cuba predominated with 66 %. The declared main motives for its usage were searching information for scientific works and bibliographic reviews, while the causes for not using it were the employment of other texts and materials of study with 35, 3 %. Conclusions: the residents' motivations toward Biblioteca Virtual en Salud de Cuba were related with the materials interesting them found in it. The research provided a diagnosis of the current situation and a perspective of the desired level, having unquestionable value for future strategies (AU).
