Relato de um caso clínico de disfunção sexual feminina sob a ótica da abordagem cognitivo-comportamental breve / Report of a clinical case of female sexual dysfunction from the point of view of brief cognitive-behavioral approach

RESUMO

As disfunções sexuais são caracterizadas por perturbações em quaisquer um dos processos do ciclo sexual ou a dores associadas ao coito. No Brasil, apesar de não haver consenso, a estimativa de prevalência para mulheres avaliadas chega a 67,7%, com números alarmantes similares em populações do mundo inteiro, mostrando-se um importante problema de saúde pública. A terapia cognitivo-comportamental por apresentar características de brevidade, objetividade e possibilidade de validação científica, tem se mostrado uma alternativa viável. No entanto, a terapia cognitivo-comportamental breve apresenta uma série de vantagens quando comparada à terapia cognitivo-comportamental padrão, tais como: diminuição dos custos do tratamento e tempo. Desse modo, o presente artigo objetiva discutir o caso de uma paciente de 32 anos com disfunção sexual, em 10 sessões de psicoterapia breve, com psicoeducação da disfunção a luz da terapia cognitivo-comportamental, reestruturação cognitiva e estratégias de prevenção de recaídas. Os resultados obtidos foram considerados positivos, sendo observadas reduções dos escores dos inventários Beck (BDI e BAI) e da frequência e força dos pensamentos automáticos negativos, havendo flexibilização de crenças centrais e aumento do repertório de estratégias de resolução de problemas, evidenciando mudanças significativas em seu relacionamento e em sua vida afetiva.(AU)

ABSTRACT

Sexual dysfunctions are characterized by disorders in any of the processes of the sexual cycle or pain associated with intercourse. In Brazil, although there is no consensus, the prevalence estimate for women evaluated reaches 67.7%, with similar alarming numbers in the populations in worldwide, becoming an important public health problem. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, due to its brevity characteristics, objectivity and the possibility of scientific validation, has been shown to be a viable alternative. However, the Brief cognitive-behavioral therapy presents a number of advantages when compared to standard cognitive-behavioral therapy, such as: reduction of treatment costs and time. Thus, the present article aims to discuss the case of a 32-year-old female patient with sexual dysfunction in 10 sessions of brief psychotherapy, with psychoeducation from the point of view of cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive restructuring and relapse prevention strategies. The results obtained were considered positive, with reductions in Beck inventory scores (BDI and BAI) and the frequency and strength of negative automatic thoughts, with more flexibility in Central beliefs and an increase in the repertoire of problem solving strategies, evidencing significant changes in their relationship and in their affective life.(AU)
